Epic films, sci-fi fantasies, grand visions of future civilizations, wormholes, FTL travel, discovering alien worlds, solving the mysteries of the universe, and so on. We dream of exploring the stars and build stories around it to feel it.
But aren’t we already doing just that? Right here. Every day. I get the same feeling of wonderment, not when flying a spaceship, but when living and exploring.
When diving into the ocean, reading a book, doing some math exercises, working on some research idea. When I study a language I don’t yet understand, when listening to music, eating with my family, or taking a walk with friends.
It’s that same feeling. It's the same place. Maybe all exploration is the same in essence? Whether it’s a black hole or a scribble on a piece of paper, it's about our own relationship to our curiosity.
